Quality Recruiting a locally owned and full service staffing firm in Rochester, New York has an immediate direct hire opportunity for a Field Sales Representative in the northern Chicago territory to sell and manage for a company that manufactures cast iron products for the construction industry.

The primary duties are as follows:
•Demonstrate the ability to develop sales strategies and implement business plans for the sales territory to meet goals and sales plans.
•Develop a plan of continuing assessment for pricing, distribution, market, customer and competitor information to keep abreast of new opportunities.
•Recommend development of new products/services and plans for increased market penetration based on market research.
•Obtain market intelligence then analyze and develop recommendations for changes then communicate through proper channels.
•Develop a detailed understanding of the sales territory customer base which includes Municipalities, Contractors, Engineers, Supply Houses, Distributors, OEM and competitors which will be used in sales planning, forecasting and market analysis reports.
•Provide a weekly call report and discuss current activity in weekly conference calls.
•Provide assistance to Credit and Collections Manager as necessary to resolve account receivable issues.
•Demonstrate the ability to make material take-offs from construction plans or online plan rooms.
•Demonstrate the ability to institute targeted sales strategies with tactical execution.

Education/Experience Requirements – Bachelor’s degree Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred but not required. Two to four years of face to face sales to customers experience.

Skill Requirements – MUST have an understanding of sales and marketing principles and demonstrated record of accomplishments in implementing successful sales programs and new product introductions in the CONSTRUCTION industry. Ability of understanding industry, market and competitive trends in order to identify opportunities.

Travel Requirements – Up to 25%, Overnight travel expected for trade shows or sales meetings may be required.
Base Salary $55.000-70,000 depending on experience. Yearly bonus incentive up to 15% of gross salary.
